Planning a Custom Apparel Production Timeline

Work backward from delivery
Separate the required arrival date from the factory dispatch date. Allow time for development, material sourcing, sample revisions, production, inspection and transport.
Identify dependencies
Ask which steps require your approval and whether fabric or trims have separate sourcing lead times. A production estimate should state its starting conditions.
Build realistic checkpoints
Schedule sample review, size and artwork approval, production confirmation and shipment documentation. Agree how changes and delays will be communicated.
Confirm a project-specific schedule
Do not treat another product or supplier’s timeline as a commitment. Ask XINLI to confirm the current schedule for your design, quantity and destination in writing.
